Darlington Piano Society’s 2026-27 International Piano Series is set to begin on Sunday, October 4, with British pianist Thomas Kelly.
Mr Kelly, who is the current Benjamin Britten Fellow at the Royal College of Music, was a finalist at the Leeds International Competition in 2021.
He also bagged second prize in the International Liszt Utrecht Competition earlier this year.
His programme will reflect his technical mastery and “outrageous virtuosity”.
The next recital on November 1 will feature Ethan Loch, who has been blind since birth.
Mr Loch, who graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2026, began playing piano at the age of four.
His story was also featured in a BBC documentary – Our Lives – Seeing with Sound – earlier this year.
Amiri Harewood, who was named a Classic FM Rising Star for 2025, will perform on January 10, 2027.
Mr Harewood makes his North American debut with a tour including recitals in Chicago and New York.
Kazakhstan-born Samson Tsoy, who trained at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Royal College of Music, will perform on February 7.
His programme includes the rarely heard piece “Le Chant du Rossignol” by Stravinsky.
Rose McLachlan, who will perform on March 7, is a member of a professional pianist family.
Her programme includes a compilation of nocturnes written by female composers in tribute to Chopin.

The final recital on April 4 will see the return of Mishka Rushdie Momen, who last played for the society in 2014.
All events will take place in Central Hall on the listed Sundays at 3pm.
Tickets for the full season are priced at £66, while individual recitals are priced at £18 and under-21s can attend for free.
