We caught them at Fawcett Park in Consett, County Durham, to see what Christmas Carols they would be performing this year.
With an impressive crowd on such a cold night, the audience gathered round the band who were rightfully clad in warm jumpers, hats and scarves.
Mark Jackson, Consett Brass Director and Conductor said: “Every year it’s a lovely night, the crowds out this evening are better than they have been before.”
Lanterns were placed around the grass in front of the band which added a spectacular atmosphere to a dark winters evening.
The band played classic carols such as Once in Royal David’s City, Hark the Herald Angel Sing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, O Come All Ye Faithful and many more.
Children danced around the grass humming along to the Christmas favourites, and Father Christmas and his elves were present to give out candy canes to the audience.
Mark added: “Its brilliant evening, everyone gets involved it’s a lovely community event.”
The band had even more performances scheduled around Consett later in the evening – which we are sure were just as impressive.
